What are the 4 types of SEO?

'SEO' gets thrown around like it's one thing. It's really four, and most Wichita businesses are only doing one of them, and doing it badly. Here's the plain version so you actually know what you're paying for.

1. On-page SEO

The words and structure on your own pages: titles, headings, the actual content. Making it obvious to both Google and a real person what each page is about. If your homepage doesn't say what you do and where you do it, you've skipped step one.

2. Off-page SEO

What happens off your site. Other sites linking to you, your Google Business Profile, reviews, mentions around town. It's Google's version of word of mouth. A link from a real local site, or a steady stream of honest reviews, tells Google you're the real deal.

3. Technical SEO

The engineering under the hood. How fast the site loads, whether it works right on a phone, whether Google can crawl it cleanly with no broken pages. This is the one almost nobody does, and it's the one I care about most, because a slow site quietly drags down everything above it. You can write perfect content and still lose if the page takes ten seconds to show up.

4. Local SEO

Showing up when someone nearby searches 'near me' or 'in Wichita.' Your Google Business Profile, a consistent name, address, and phone number everywhere, location pages, and local content. For a business that serves a city, this is usually where the money is.
